Changing perceptions of Boo Radley.

In the beginning of the book Boo Radley is known as the creepy neighbor. He is just known for being locked up in his house and also all the rumors. Now that I've gotten farther into the story, Boo is seeming to be incredibly nice. Jem's pants got ripped and left at the Radley house. Also, Boo wrapped a blanket around the kids without them knowing when Miss Maudie's house was on fire. This is showing how he is really like because he is doing nice things for the kids when they least expect it.

Scout and Miss Maudie talked about Boo. Miss Maudie was telling Scout how he was not necessarily bad. This changed my perception of him because then i knew all the rumors were not true. Boo Radley is turning out to be not so bad.

First Impression of Boo Radley

Oh my, what a creep. That was my first impression of Boo Radley. Although, i don't think the rumors of him being a "phantom" are true. I think the town makes up such rumors because they do not truely know what he's like since he never comes out of his house. I can see why they would think of him like that though, he did murder his parents...

All three children act differently to the Boo Radley situation. I would have to say i'm most like Scout. She seems to be terrified of the house. It says in the book, "See there? Nothin' to it. I swear Scout, sometimes you act so much like a girl it's mortifyin'"(p.38) This was after Scout rolled her tire into Boo's yard. She would not go over and get it. I think i would have done the same thing, to stay away from the house!
