The Worst Part In Animal Farm

I would have to say the part where Boxer gets sent to the glue factory is the saddest part in the book. It makes me quite sad actually. He was the hardest worker on the farm. In fact, if he had not put in as much work and he had, the farm wouldn't have been able to keep up the crops and such.

It broke my heart when all the animals started to panic. Boxer kept on working through all his pain and didn't complain once. I think that all the animals (other than the pigs of course) looked up to him and his loyalty. Honestly. I'm mad he died. Napolean is dumb.

Animal Farm

"Animal Farm is the worst book ever", I heard coming from my friends. Though, I find it quite interesting. It makes me excited, which sounds kind of weird but I love how this book is a parody of the Russian Revolution. It makes facts about the revolution a lot easier to remember. Also, I enjoy reading fables and since this is one, it makes it more fun to read.

I am always stoked when I get a new book to read, and this one definatly hasn't let me down so far. It's kind of predictable since there is forshadowing at least every chapter if not more. But I still like it, irony is kind of lame. So yes, I really do like this book.

Winter Break

Gross. That was one word to describe the colors of my room; and worst of all, they didn't match. When I first decided to paint my room blue, green and purple, I had something different in mind than what my aunt painted on my walls, (dark lime green, pastel blue and purple). After Christmas day when i had received all my presents, I had some money so I thought, "Why not paint my room?" Though, my parents or aunt would not be helping me this time. Apparently they "all had things more important to do". I think it was just because they hate painting. A couple of days later, I went to the store to look for paint.

When I got to Lowe's I was overwhelmed by all of the colors. My friend Ashley had come with my dad and I since she offered to help me paint. I was thrilled. I had never painted a room before, but I just figured it would be an easy job. Finally, I picked out a dark green color. Ashley thought I was crazy, but I was convinced it would look good in my room. So we headed home to start painting.

Painting the primer on the walls wasn't all that bad. Ashley and I painted that quite quickly and took a break while it was drying. After it was done, I started on the green. That was when the problems started. Ashley was having fun on my Wii while I was slaving away in my room. I thought I was doing an okay job when my little sister barged through the doors only to kill my mood. "Nice floor", she snickered. I looked down and half my carpet was green. Considering my carpet is white, I started to panic and screamed, "ASHLEY!!"

Right as I said her name, she came running through my doors and started laughing. I guess painting isn't so easy after all! We then decided if we put white paint on the green paint maybe it would blend in with the carpet. So we spend the next hour trying to make the green paint look less noticable before my parents got home. Surprisingly, it did work. My room isn't looking so "hot" at the moment. My ceiling is about as green as my carpet was. I mean, I knew I was never artistic but I didn't know how art skilled mental i could get! I suppose I do now. I don't think I'll go near paint for a while now.
